How
does new data get into XTrends?
Each time XTrends is launched, it checks for new Arbitrends
data. If you have downloaded a new trend, XTrends will import
it and extrapolate it - automatically!
Do
I need to have Maximi$er to run XTrends?
No, one of the things that makes XTrends so fast is that it
does not interface with Maximi$er. All data, including Actual
monthly data, is stored inside XTrends.
How
do I update my extraps with Actual monthlies?
Every quarter we process your data through Maximi$er and provide
you with the Actual monthlies from the book. XTrends overwrites
your extraps with the Actual monthlies so that it always has
the most up-to-date data to use for future extrapolations.
Why
are my hand-generated extraps different from those created
by XTrends?
XTrends is a better predictor of the actual month because
XTrends extrapolates the AQH Persons and the Market Level
Persons (or PUR, Persons Using Radio) to calculate a new share.
Most extraps done by hand or with a spreadsheet are done by
extrapolating the shares alone. For a detailed explanation,

How
far back does my XTrends data go?
Typically we provide approximately two years' worth of historical
data with every XTrends install.
